Over the years Chicago has been called many things ("Windy City," "Second City", "City of the Broad Shoulders", to name a few), but for people who don't live in Chicago, it always comes as a surprise to learn that this massive industrial town has a green heart.
The Easton Construction Team is always looking for new ways for our homes to be more efficient and better performing. That is why we continue the education of our project managers and send them to programs, seminars and symposiums all over the city so we can become Chicago's Leading High Performance Green Home Builder.

- Plastic or composite lumber for decking is maintenance free and longer lasting than redwood or cedar.
- Recycle and reuse materials where practical
- Recycling containers on all jobsites
- Use of skylights and solar tubes
- Radiant heat in floors not only saves energy but is more comfortable and healthier
- Energy-efficient appliances/Energy Star Certified Equipment
- Compact fluorescent lamps on front exterior lights and interior where lighting is used more than 45 min./day
- Tankless Hot Water heaters save energy and water consumption
- High Efficiency HVAC Equipment and air filtration systems
- Use non-toxic paints for better indoor air quality
- High Performance "soft foam" spray insulation and spray cellulose insulation
- We use products that reduce heating and cooling loads, such high-quality & high performance windows.
- We use products that conserve water above and beyond what is required by law, such as dual –flush toilets low rated GPM products.
- We use products that block the spread of or remove indoor pollutants, such as duct mastic, effective ventilation equipment, and air filters.
