Subcontractors

Subcontractor FAQ

To assist you, here's a list of questions we get on a daily basis ...

"How do I get included on future bid lists?"

Complete the Subcontractor Information Form to begin the process. Your information will then be reviewed by our estimating staff.

"How do I find out what projects Easton is currently bidding?"

As a Chicago home builder, Easton always has a long list of active jobs in pre-construction and estimating. The best way to find out what projects might be right for you is to complete a Subcontractor Information Form - a representative from our estimating department will then be in contact with you to discuss upcoming opportunities.

"What is the process to submit an invoice for payment?"

All requisitions, invoices, insurance certificates, and lien waivers must be submitted directly to Easton's Accounting Department. Sending these documents only to the Project Manager will delay your payment.

"What is the process for getting a change order approved?"

Requests for change orders should be submitted in writing, directly to the Project Manager on your job. You should refer to the Easton project number to facilitate the request.

"I have been told that in order to be paid, I need to submit "second tier lien waiver." What exactly does this mean?"

When we ask for second tier lien waivers, we are asking that you submit to Easton signed, notarized lien waivers from all of your suppliers and subcontractors, evidencing that you have paid for them in full.
